José A. Cabello

Professional background

A practicing lawyer since 2002, José Ángel Cabello Perry holds a law degree and a Master’s degree in Law from the Higher Institute of Law and Economics (ISDE) and a Master’s degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences from the University of Barcelona (UB) and the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). He also has specialized training in Economic and Corporate Criminal Law (Abat Oliba-CEU University).

He joined the firm in 2013 in the Madrid office, after years of professional practice at other firms specializing in criminal law. In 2024 he had been promoted to associate attorney.

He has served as a member of the Criminal Law Section of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB) (2009-2014) and as a professor of Criminal Law at the ICAB School of Legal Practice. He is currently a professor of criminal law in the Master’s Degree in Law at ISDE and a tutor of criminal practice in the Master’s Degree for Access to the Legal Profession at the University of Navarra.

He has been awarded the “Excellence in Legal Practice” Award in the Professor of Substantive Criminal Law category by the ISDE Big Data publication. He is the author of several articles and publications, and a speaker at conferences and courses in the field of criminal law.
