Juan Segarra

Professional background

A practicing lawyer since 2005, Juan Segarra Monferrer holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences from the University of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra University, having completed doctoral courses in Criminal Law at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF).
He joined the firm in 2005, was promoted to associate in 2018, to Director of the Litigation Department in 2024, and to Partner of Molins Defensa Penal in the Barcelona office in 2025.
He is currently a professor of the Master’s degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences from the University of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra University, a professor of the Master’s degree in Economic Criminal Law and Compliance at Pompeu Fabra University, and a professor of Criminal Litigation in the Master’s degree in Law at BSM-UPF (Pompeu Fabra University).
Author of various articles and specialized publications, he regularly teaches courses and gives lectures in the field of criminal law and criminal procedure law.
