Professional background
A practicing lawyer, Gema Clarimón Escuder holds degrees in Law and Criminology and Public Prevention Policies from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF); a Master’s Degree in Law with a specialization in Criminal Law from UPF and Barcelona School of Management; and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences from the University of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra University (2021-2022), having obtained the extraordinary award.
She also combined her studies with coordinating the Criminal Law team at the Pompeu Fabra University Legal Clinic.
She began her internship at the firm in 2023 and joined the Barcelona office as a lawyer in the Litigation Department in 2024.
She is currently an associate professor of criminal law at the University of Barcelona (UB) and a collaborating professor of criminal law at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC).
Gema is the author of several articles and publications on criminal law and was the winner of the 12th edition of the Young Researchers Award from the Legal Journal of the Autonomous University of Madrid.
