Gonzalo Sivatte

Professional background

A practicing lawyer, Gonzalo Sivatte holds a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona (1993) and a degree in Law from the University of Bologna (1993).

Gonzalo joined Molins Defensa Penal in 2017 as Partner in charge of Communications and Business Development.

He heads the Communications and Digital Reputation Department, an in-house press department with extensive experience in media management and relations. He offers clients a prevention service and a communication policy aligned with the interests of the courts. This represents an added value and differentiation for our firm, which is sensitive to the public impact that some media-informed criminal proceedings can have.

Gonzalo began his professional career in 1995 at the Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in India. From 1996 to 2000, he worked as a journalist for the AFA and United Press agencies, residing in several countries in Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Central America for projects with The Times, US Today, Paris Match, and The Independent.

He is the Managing Partner of the online publishing house Professional Newco and, to date, the editor of the legal portal TOGAS. He is a founding partner of the Institute for Mediation in Family Businesses (IMEF) and a board member of Icaria Iniciatives Socials SAL. Gonzalo has extensive experience as a marketing and communications advisor to law firms since 2000 and was Vice President of the Legal Marketing Association.
